Will my AT&T, Verizon, Sprint service work in Korea?

Yes, But those companies provide roaming service to customers. To save your money we recommend you to activate your phone with Korea telecommunication service providers (SK, KT, and LG), if you stay in Korea more than two weeks.

Can I use my US mobile device in Korea?

Yes, you can use your mobile device in Korea. But you need to make sure it is unlocked from your mobile phone carrier in US. Depending on the model, some functions and/ or services may not be supported.

What is SKT, KT Olleh, LG U+?

Those are leading companies for telecommunication service in Korea. Check your service provider before you call to your customer service center. If customer service center representative asked your aliens register number, notify him or her you are in sofa status and give them your DoD number.

How can I call to the US and other countries?

You can use free voice and/ or video call application. But the usage of m-VoIP call is limited depends on your mobile plan.

How can I check my usage?

There is ‘Dodol phone’ application to check your usage. Or you can call the customer service center of your service provider to check your usage.

What is surrender value?

Discounts are offered to anyone who is registered for LTE plan; however a user will have to pay back a certain amount of the discount if he or she cancels the plan without completing the contract period.

If I submit my military order, Can I terminate my mobile service without early termination fee?

NO, Service providers in Korea will not excuse your US military PCS situation.

How can the service provider charge my monthly bill?

Monthly bill will be sent to customer via text message and/or e-mail (in Korean). Provider shall withdraw the due amount on the debit or credit card registered on the account. Automatic charge usually occurs between 11th and 13th of every month. Your monthly usage is restart on every month 1st.
If you signed up for this contract middle of the month, your plan fee and usage will prorate. However provider may fail to set-up automatic billing for various reasons.
Please check with the provider for automatic billing set-up.
If delinquent payment lasts for more than 30 days, the provider may suspend the service without prior notice.

What do I have to pay when I want to cancel my contract?

Call the customer service center of your service provider. In addition check your last bill, remaining of your device fee and surrender value*. If you visit nearest KT Plaza or KT store and pay your entire early termination fee, your service will be canceled by that day.

How do I activate my cell phone?

Your phone comes activated, you do not need to do anything except turn it on and start using it. This also means that if you are not using your phone, you are still being charged for it. If the phone is out of our office and in your possession, it is an open line, and you will be charged a base fee, even if you are not using it.
